No halt for One Stop Hire

It’s certainly been a momentous year for One Stop Hire and 2022 is set to be just as busy.

In July the company acquired Lord Hire Centres, giving it a significant presence in the north east of England with eight depots and it is gradually being integrated into the wider operation.

“The north east represents a massive opportunity for us,” said managing director Steve Hitchen. “We were already well established in the north west, we have opened depots in the Midlands and we offer a wide range of services that include hire, sales, training, lifting equipment and non-mechanical products, each operating at the highest level.

“We have invested significantly in new equipment for the Lords fleet following the acquisition and recruited more sales people.

“In addition, we now have the keys to the premises for a new depot in Northampton. This will complement our locations in Nottingham and Birmingham, so the network is developing very well.”

One Stop Hire currently has 25 depots and employs 205 people. Pictured is the company’s multi-centre facility in Wigan.
