How old’s your Takeuchi?

As part of its 25th Anniversary celebrations, Takeuchi UK is seeking out its oldest working machine in the UK and Ireland.

The Takeuchi UK operation was established in 1996 and some machines from the early years are still working faithfully. 

The earliest models in this country included the TB15, TB007, TB015, TB020, TB035, TB045 and TB15FR from the 0-Series. These compact mini excavators were the first to carry Takeuchi branding and the distinctive red styling.

The company is keen to hear from owners and operators to find out more about their classic machines. As tool and plant hirers were amongst the first customers, it’s likely that some might have an early model in a corner of their yard, or know of a jobbing builder who bought an ex-hire fleet machine from them.
