The forthcoming Vanguard 400 EFI/ETC single-cylinder petrol engine from Briggs & Stratton incorporates a number of environmentally friendly characteristics.
Scheduled for launch in March 2022, the 14hp 408cc unit has electronic fuel inhection for economy and electronic throttle control to respond quickly to changes in applied loadings.
The engine is also CAN (controller area network) bus enabled, makiing it possible for it to be stopped and started remotely using a smart device.
Briggs & Stratton will also be unveiling new lithium-ion battery options in the new year.
