Fraser’s double century

Hamilton-based Fraser Tool Hire has just taken delivery of its 200th JCB excavator since the business was founded in 1983. 

The latest addition is an 86C-2 midi which joins other compact models in the hirer’s fleet from micro machines to 10-tonne midi excavators.

JCB’s 8-10 tonne midi excavator models have been updated to meet EU Stage V emissions regulations. The ‘-2’ machines, such as the 86C-2, also benefit from improvements for easier operation and maintenance.

Engine auto-stop and a one-touch idle feature have been incorporated as standard to reduce fuel consumption and cut emissions.

Originally established by Colin and his father, Ronald, Fraser Tool Hire supplies tools and plant across Scotland from its two-acre facility.
