Barrus top 50 success

E. P. Barrus has done an excellent job over the last decade in establishing Loncin Industries and its range of small petrol engines, generators and pumps within the UK, and its achievement means that Barrus has now been ranked amongst the manufacturer’s top 50 customers worldwide.
Loncin Industries claims to be the number three engine producer in the world with an output of 2.7 million general-purpose engines, 1.5 million motorcycle engines and 2 million generator sets and pumps every year.
Global customers include Atlas Copco, BMW, Cummins, Husqvarna, Stihl and Wacker Neuson.
John Day, general manager for the Barrus Industrial Division said: “This is a milestone moment for the Loncin brand in the UK and we are delighted to receive this accolade. Our strategy has been to extend our product portfolio into the industrial, horticultural, agricultural and consumer markets, develop and build on our existing sales and service dealer network and grow the number of new and existing OEM manufacturers who specify Loncin for their equipment.”
Other key OEMs in the hire sphere include Altrad Belle, Fairport Engineering, Dual Pumps, Demon Pressure Washers, GreenMech, and the Addex Group.
The Loncin line-up includes Stage V engines with a range of single-cylinder horizontal engines from 1.8hp to 12hp, vertical engines from 11.5hp to 14hp, 19.7hp and 29.5 hp V-Twin, generator sets from 1.6kW to 7.3kW and pumps from 1in to 3in.
