I remember about 20 years ago when hire management software was seen as something of a novelty, with most companies using paper-based systems. Today, of course, you can’t imagine any business operating without it.
Point of Rental Software says that the pandemic has proved this. “As soon as Covid-19 hit around March 2020, we started modelling various scenarios,” said PR and marketing manager Sarah Crowther, pictured.
“However, hirers remained busy throughout and demand for our sofware was strong. It was so important to their day-to-day operations.”
At the recent Showman’s Show, Point of Rental promoted its Essentials system, a straightorward cloud-based and scalable setup that can be tailored to suit companies in a diversity of markets, from tool and equipment hirers, to companies renting out marquees or camera gear, for example.
Various business intelligence features can also be integrated into it.
In addition, Point of Rental is developing Rent It Online, an app that can be own-branded by hirers and which enables customers to hire and off-hire equipment, check transaction histories and other tasks.
