BGG at the double

Dominating the BGG UK stand at the recent Showman’s Show was a machine comprising two 200kVA Bruno generators which is being supplied to a hire company specialising in the events market. 

The ‘twin pack’ setup obviously delivers up to 400kVA and can be synchronised so that if one unit was to fail, the other can take over to ensure an uninterrupted supply. A large fuel tank can also be connected.

The model on show was a Stage IIIa unit but BGG UK managing director Chris Archer told me that the container has enough space to accommodate a Stage V engine with an AdBlue tank. 

“It makes for much more efficiency. It reduces the number of vehicle movements, requires one drop instead of two and there are no interconnecting cables.” 

The distribution panel (pictured below) incorporates ‘power lock’ sockets for quick connection. Similar twin-pack units with two 300kVA or 500kVA generators can also be supplied.
