Think pink with TA

Some hirers are known for their particular corporate livery. The recently established Stockton-based business, TA Plant & Tool Hire, has decided that its standout colour will be pink. 

“I was once on holiday in New Zealand and, of course, I found myself still looking at construction sites to see if there were any differences in how they did things and the equipment they hired,” says managing director Tom Allen. “I saw some machinery painted pink and it was certainly eye-catching.

“So when I started the new business, I chose pink as our corporate colour.” 

Tom officially launched TA Plant & Tool Hire in April, having spent 22 years at Allen Tool & Plant Hire, also in Stockton, which was founded by his father 38 years ago.

After the business was acquired last September, Tom decided to establish his own operation, and found premises on a trading estate. 

“Business is getting stronger month on month and there is certainly a lot of construction activity in the Teesside area,” he says. "This includes the dismantling and repurposing of old steelworks, renovating railway station buildings and related facilities, offshore wind farm development and house building. 

“We’re already serving customers over a large area, as far afield as places like Leeds, Morpeth and York.” 

Alongside general tools and equipment like compaction plates and alloy tower, the TA fleet includes micro and mini excavators, garden machinery, and engineering products for petrochemical and utilities work. 

Tom is pictured above with two recent purchases from Shindaiwa Ltd, namely a PowerCenter 15 generator and an Eco300 welder generator. These are part of a larger order – duly finished by the manufacturer in distinctive pink.
