Demand surge in Devon

A significant compact plant order from a hirer based in the south west of England suggests that the strong bounce back is being experienced throughout the country.
Tool Care Hire, which has depots in Exeter, Exmouth, Torbay and Okehampton, has bought 28 new Kubota mini excavators, comprising K008-3 and KX030-4 models. They were supplied by the Tiverton branch of local dealer Chepstow Construction Equipment (CCE Plant Sales).
Martin Phillips, owner of Tool Care Hire, reports a surge in demand following a boom in homebuilding, as Britain ‘builds back better’ in the wake of the coronavirus recovery.
“All of the Kubota machines we’ve ordered are already out on site and being put to work, highlighting just how strong the construction industry is in the south-west,” he says.
