High-power Atlas Copco

Atlas Copco has added higher-capacity models to its ZenergiZe range of lithium-ion energy storage systems.

The newcomers carry the designation ZBC and have rated power outputs from 100kVA to 1000kVA, with energy storage capacities of 250kWh to 2000kWh. Two 46kWh models with 15kVA and 45kVA outputs were launched last year. 

The larger machines can be used as standalone power sources, combined with generators to make a hybrid power solution, or linked to create ‘microgrids’ for applications like powering events or communications facilities. 

Using the power stored in the batteries enables operation with zero levels of CO2 emissions, NOx pollution and noise with minimal maintenance. 

The machines can also be used with solar panels or wind turbines.
