Speedy boosts access fleet

Speedy has bought 130 new electric lifting machines for its Powered Access business as part of a multi-million-pound fleet expansion plan.

The hirer has bought 90 scissor lifts and 40 mast booms, manufactured by Dingli, to expand its range of hybrid and pure electric lifting models. This will give contractors more choice as they work towards net-zero emissions targets.

The JCPT0807DCS and JCPT1008DC scissor lifts deliver a maximum working height of 7.8m and 10m respectively. The AMWP8100 mast boom lifts offer a working height of up to 11.2 m.

Supporting Speedy’s responsibility programme, called Energise, the Powered Access business provided a Dingli scissor lift (pictured) for the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) to use at North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College’s MIRA Technology Institute campus.

The machine was used for training the college’s new intake of powered access engineering apprentices.
