Seddons plays its part

Many businesses have reaped the benefits of embracing online ordering and one of these is Seddons Plant & Engineers.

Marketing manager Justin Smith tells me that the company’s website was completely re-designed and launched last October, and traffic has since increased by 500%.

“One of the main features is the number of parts diagrams to enable hirers to identify and order spares for products from brands like Altrad Belle, Husqvarna, Honda, Stihl, and Winget.

“There are more than 1,000 diagrams on there as well as the whole Seddons inventory, amounting to around 50,000 different lines,.” adds Justin.

• Seddons has appointed Campbell Rodden as business development director. He has previously held senior management positions with Thermac, a hirer of equipment for hazardous environments, and Speedy.
