GAP gets Technical

GAP is grouping several of its technical and specialist divisions under a new collective branch of the business to reflect the expansion of these operations. 

Technical and Environmental Services will encompass the hirer’s Lifting & TIC (Test, Inspect & Certify), Survey & Safety, and Trenching & Shoring divisions, which fall under the ‘technical’ category; Tanker Services (pictured) under ‘environmental’; and Event Services which comes within both.

GAP says there will be no change to any of the individual divisions, which will continue to operate as standalone specialisms, with each continuing to expand to meet market demands.

These divisions will be overseen by Karen Greenshields who becomes managing director of Technical and Environmental Services. Speaking of the new development, she said: “We have a real opportunity to make each division bigger and better and I have no doubt we will continue to do that this year.”
