Low-emissions focus

Further indicating the potential of environmentally-friendly machinery in the hire industry, Briggs & Stratton has made a new appointment to focus on this area.
Johannes Böhlau has joined the company as Business Development Manager Rental and Electrification, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa regions). He previously worked for Stanley Black & Decker and will be based at Briggs & Stratton’s location in Viernheim, Germany.
Concentrating on the commercial sector, he will promote the use of the manufacturer’s new battery technologies (pictured) and its latest environmentally friendly Vanguard engines.
“We have many innovations to bring to market,” he said. “These include products designed to lower total cost of ownership and reduce the environmental impact of rental fleets, which will allow professionals get work done more efficiently and productively."
