New Hillhead Digital dates

The popular Hillhead plant exhibition is again adapting to the challenges imposed by the pandemic.

Following consultation with exhibitors and speakers, its new Hillhead Digital initiative is being moved back three weeks to 30 and 31 March to allow for the longer lead times that are anticipated as a result of the new national lockdown.

With an overall title of New Horizons - Building the Recovery, the conference programme will include 40 free seminars and panel sessions under the three themes of digitalisation, decarbonisation and infrastructure.

Show director Richard Bradbury said: "We appreciate that with schools now closed until at least half-term and much of the workforce working from home until the end of February, it makes sense to build in some more time to allow the industry to get the most from Hillhead Digital at the end of March."

More than 250 exhibitors are said to have already confirmed their participation, with the platform being demonstrated to customers later this month and on track to go live from mid-March. Over the two main days, participants will be able to interact with suppliers and network with industry peers online.

Hillhead Digital will be a prelude to the main outdoor event (pictured) which is scheduled to take place on 22–24 June near Buxton.
