Avant in demand

The need to socially distance and reduce the number of people in a work area has led to increased demand for Avant Tecno’s compact articulated loaders and attachments.
In recent years the UK arm of the Finnish manufacturer has established Avant Hire, its network of hirers offering the machines. Approximately 40 locations are now included.
“Lots of people on furlough were getting jobs done and many contractors wanted to hire machines for tasks like loading and shifting materials because they were allocating fewer people to a site,” Avant Tecno UK’s sales and marketing director John Spencer told me.
With more than 200 attachments now available for the versatile loaders, contractors can achieve more while using less manual labour.
John added that several companies have recently joined the Avant Hire network and that some dealers are establishing hire operations to meet local demand in areas that are not yet covered.
One machine proving particular popular is the 860 model (pictured), the largest in the line-up which offers more power and lifting capacity.
“We are also noticing much more interest in our battery powered E6 model,” said John.
Expect more machine developments from Avant next year, when the Finnish parent business will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary.
