Loads more from Bobcat

No fewer than 48 products across 12 different machine categories were unveiled by Bobcat last week during a launch event held online owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

Amongst the most eye-catching additions are the manufacturer’s new small articulated loaders. The L23 (pictured) and L28 weigh 1.7 tonnes and 1.9 tonnes respectively with tipping capacities of up to 1.3 tonnes and 1.4 tonnes. The L28 has a telescopic boom.

The machines have two operating modes, one offering high traction and the other for work on turf or soft ground with minimal risk of slippage. The articulating body gives a tight turning circle and enhanced manoeuvrability in restricted spaces.

Bobcat also launched a full range of light compaction machinery, developed in collaboration with the Ammann Group. This comprises 37 models, including six rammers, six forward plates, 12 reversible plates, four hydrostatic plates, two walk-behind rollers, two trench rollers and four tandem rollers.

Other new launches include R-series skid-steer and track loaders, R2-Series 5-tonne and 6-tonne mini excavators and two compact wheel loaders.

During the event, which was entitled ‘Next is Now’, Bobcat also gave a glimpse into new digital and technological machine enhancements that it is developing for safe working and higher productivity. Look out for more details of these in a future post.
