Fast track for busy sites

It’s really striking how busy many construction firms are at the moment. To meet demand from utilities and contractors working on large sites such as HS2 projects, GroundGuards has introduced a new temporary trackway system developed to create large access roadways quickly.

The SignaRoad panels measure 3m by 2m and are made from a tough HDPE plastic. They have overlapping flanges to provide better support on soft ground and are designed to be strong enough to support heavy plant.

GroundGuards can hire the panels for self-installation or can provide a supply-and-install service.

“Contractors working on HS2 projects in particular need to get into a site quickly, do the job and then move on to the next one fast,” VP International Sales, Laurie Luke, tells me. “SignaRoad’s simple installation enables trackways to be created and re-located quickly.”

He believes that contractors have responded strongly to the government’s ‘build, build, build’ message during the pandemic, and GroundGuards is experiencing demand for temporary road systems at diverse projects, including house building sites and, even, film production.
