New CPA Conference slot

The Construction Plant-hire Association’s (CPA) 2021 Conference will now be held on 14 October at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre near Coventry. Before then it will introduce an on-line element.

The event had been scheduled to take place on 28 April 2021, but the CPA says that, in light of the Covid pandemic and long-term uncertainty regarding when mass gatherings can take place, it has been decided to postpone the event to later in the year.

Moving the date to October also avoids clashing with the Executive Hire Show, which is scheduled for 28 and 29 April at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

To address key issues facing the construction plant sector before the Conference, the CPA will hold an online webinar series beginning on 19 November.

Chief Executive Kevin Minton said, “We are introducing a programme of webinars over a period of six months, to address some topics of immediate relevance and concern that we would have covered in the Conference in April.”

Topics to be discussed include preparing for Brexit, reducing carbon emissions and training.
