In the pink with Penny
19 October 2020
A Geda 300 Z transport platform painted pink is the most recent machine to appear in the Southern Hoist Services fleet.
Called Penny, the machine has been added to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
“20% of Penny’s hire revenue will be given to breast cancer charities from now onwards,” says director Kirsty Archbold-Laming, whose mother died from the disease in 2011.
“We had been planning to do this for a long time and when it was quieter during the early part of lockdown, our technicians stripped the machine down and painted it pink.”
Penny’s first hire is for an eight-week project in Portsmouth, starting today. “We’ll be plotting all the sites she visits in future on a map on our website, so everyone can follow where Penny travels to,” adds Kirsty.
