World gets smaller

The term remote working has certainly been applicable to inspHire’s technicians recently.

MD Graham Dobbs tells me that July was one of the software specialist’s busiest ever months for new implementations – all done remotely to meet social distancing requirements. Installers linked up to customers’ systems electronically rather than in the physical workplace.

“It has been incredibly busy. A couple of the installations were for large operations that needed to minimise downtime and our people were working seven days a week to get everything done.

“We’ve also been doing setups for clients overseas this way. The world really is a smaller place now,” says Graham.

“And with our latest product, OnRent, you don’t have to install anything at all. It’s hosted in the cloud and offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, making it ideal for start-ups or specialist low volume, high value hire businesses.”

OnRent gives companies an entry point and they can migrate later to inspHire’s larger-scale Office or Corporate suites.

“Hire and construction industry professionals are now familiar with the concept of cloud-based systems like Microsoft 365, and it gives great flexibility,” says Graham.

He adds that other new software functions have been proving popular. These include chat boxes enabling a hirer’s customers to ask an online operator questions, and shopping cart facilities for companies with retail activities.

Following OnRent’s UK launch, inspHire will be rolling it out in overseas markets, including Australia.
