The power that is running equipment at many of the drive-through test centres and NHS Nightingale hospitals is being produced by generators supplied by Himoinsa Power Solutions.

Himoinsa’s UK MD, Clive Dix, said that the company’s Crewe facility dispatched a record number of 200-500kVA sets at the beginning of April. Technicians had to work quickly to prepare them as ‘rental spec’ models ready for immediate installation.

Sales Manager Robert Amos added that Himoinsa’s manufacturing facility in Murcia, Spain, has been able to maintain production to meet global demand.

“The NHS-related demand will be ongoing,” said Robert. “Some markets like events have been severely affected and construction sites are having to respond to social distancing and new ways of working, but other sectors have remained busy like utilities, essential infrastructure, telecoms and data centres. They all still need reliable power.”
