High-capacity trailer gives versatility
30 April 2024
Brian James Trailers promoted the capabilities of the higher-capacity version of its its Digger Plant trailer at ScotPlant in Edinburgh last week.
The trailer has a 2.8m long bed and a gross weight of 3500kg, with a maximum load capacity of 2910kg. This enables heavier machines to be carried, giving hire companies and other users considerable transport flexibility.
To illustrate its potential, Brian James Trailers had three Digger Plant units on its stand with respective payloads of a 2815kg scissor lift, a 2.6-tonne roller and a mini excavator with buckets.
“The three machines and trailers were driven here from different locations in Melton Mowbray, Kelso and Aberdeen,” Jim Cherry, Business Development Manager with Brian James Trailers told me. “Each driver said they were a delight to handle on the road.
“Hire is obviously all about rapid response and operational flexibility, and the high-capacity version of our Digger Plant trailer means that companies can tow a greater variety of equipment without having to use dedicated trucks and delivery vehicles.”
