Wernick Powers ahead

Wernick Power Solutions has acquired Anderson Engineering Generator Specialists Ltd, a hire and sales business located on the west coast of Scotland.

Chairman David Wernick commented: “We are delighted with this acquisition and by the end of this month, all operations of Anderson Engineering will seamlessly transition to our Glasgow depot. 

“This strategic move enhances our collective abilities, improves our knowledge base and unites two companies and two families that value service excellence above all else for their customers.”

Anderson Engineering’s Donald Anderson said: "The business has grown rapidly since its foundation in 2008 but to continue that success we needed more resources and the support of a larger organisation.

The acquisition was facilitated by The Hire Exchange consultancy. 

Wernick Power Solutions currently operates from six locations throughout the country and Nick Crane, General Manager, tells me that the business continues to grow. 

“We have invested £4.4 million in new equipment this year to date, including £3.3 million on battery packs and £1 million on more Stage V generators, with ten 500kVA models from BGG Bruno and six more 300kVA sets from JCB. We now have 60 battery storage units fleeted and almost every one of them is out on hire. I suspect we’ll order more before the year is out.

“We have also just signed off another £2.6 million for Stage V machine investment. We continue to grow from strength to strength, expanding the fleet and adding more people to our operation,” he said.
