Secure options from Datatag

Datatag says that the perennial issue of tracking equipment and keeping it secure will be a major theme of its display at next month’s Executive Hire Show.

KIST is a new asset management service derived from the company’s MicroCESAR marking and tracking system for tools and smaller equipment. It is designed to enable hire companies to keep track and manage fleet items and via mobile and desktop applications.

I thought KIST was an acronym initially (no pun intended), but I’m told the word is actually a Scottish and Northern England dialect term meaning a large secure chest or coffer.  

Details will also be available on Datatag’s Venom product designed to deter theft of petrol, diesel and HVO. The additive is mixed with the fuel and contains a forensic DNA and a visible green dye as proof of ownership. 

The Show is on 8 and 9 February at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
