A recent addition to the Clements Plant & Access Hire fleet is a Tennant 6100 ride-on sweeper-collector machine. It complements a scrubber-dryer that the Coventry-based company already has as its serves a new market.

“Both of the machines are already out on long-term hire to different customers,” chairman Jim Longstaff told me. “This sort of unit fits well alongside items like access equipment for users working in factories, warehouses and infrastructure maintenance.

“These machines are normally kept inside buildings, are generally well looked after and can give a good return on investment.”

The 6100 has an onboard rechargeable battery and is designed to work across a range of floor types. It has a single brush and it is configured to enable work in difficult to access areas.

Other recent additions to the Clements fleet include ten additional Kubota 1.7-tonne mini excavators.

The Coventry depot has also been enhanced by the addition of a new building (pictured below) which will be used as a workshop for repairing and maintaining powered access equipment, as well as inspecting and testing machines prior to being hired out.
