POP UP raises its profile

Next year will be significant for access equipment supplier POP UP Products as it marks several achievements. 

First, it will be 20 years since the foundation of the original company, which, in 2005, adopted the POP UP name after the new push-around low-level access machine it introduced. 

However, the success of the POP UP, later rebranded as the IQ Lift, led to the Chester-based company’s other product ranges being somewhat overshadowed, according to Ben Sly, sales and marketing manager. 

Indeed, 2023 will mark ten years since the business became the UK and Eire distributor for the MI TOWER range of low-level aluminium tower products made by the Dutch manufacturer Altrex. One person can assemble this tower, and the components are stored in a self-contained trolley format built from the tower itself. 

“Models include the MI TOWER, which has a 1m deck length and a maximum 4m height, making it ideal for confined spaces; the MI TOWER+ with a 1.5m-long deck and a maximum 6m height; and the MI Stair,” said Ben. 

“Besides being easy to store as the tower base doubles as the trolley, the MI TOWER system is designed like a Meccano set. Different modules can be added to the basic tower pack for use in lift shafts, stairwells and other purposes, which minimises the number of components required and again saves on storage space.” 

POP UP Products promoted the MI TOWER range at the PASMA Conference in Nottingham. 

Other products in the company’s range include the EIGERTOWER (pictured) access tower range encompassing the EIGER 500 and EIGER 250 towers, which offers working heights of up to 14m, the DELTA DECK low-level work platform and telescopic ladders. 

Next year, POP UP Products will launch a new addition to its low-level portfolio. More on that in due course.
