Dromad’s dream team

The disruption caused by the pandemic and the lockdowns emphasised the importance of looking out for one another and the need to pull together in businesses and organisations of all sizes.

Dundalk-based Dromad Hire recently held a team building day in the historic village of Carlingford, in County Louth, to celebrate the company's culture of positivity and inclusion.

The day included a visit to Carlingford Adventure Centre where the group was split into two teams to face a survival challenge. Physical and mental tasks were involved and participants had to overcome various fears and anxieties, before relaxing during a well-earned dinner with deluxe food, wine and cocktails.

Ronan Cotter, Dromad Hire’s general manager, said: “Organising company activities outside of work is one of the most important things you can do to maintain a happy and productive environment.

“It is amazing to be a part of something that is more than just a job, something fun to look forward to every day rather than a boring, monotonous or unrewarding environment. It is an appreciation for all employees and reinforces the gratitude we have for the outstanding work they do day in day out. It’s our people that make a difference.”
