Boels cabins in demand

As part of an ongoing fleet investment programme, Boels Rental UK’s Hereford depot recently took delivery of mobile site welfare units from AJC EasyCabin.

The order comprises EcoSmart12 and EcoSmart16 models in an initial £500,000 order currently being manufactured for delivery to a number of Boels depots across the UK.

The units are designed for environmentally friendly operation, offering LED lighting and hot water without the need for the generator,  as well as low levels of noise, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. 

The rest of the order is expected to be delivered in the coming weeks and it sounds as though they’ll be needed as the first two units (pictured below) went out on hire almost immediately.

Boels Rental UK managing director Asif Latief says that the business has invested over £12 million in new equipment over the last 12 months, especially to strengthening its core product offering including tools, compact plant up to 3 tonnes, power generation, powered access, lighting and products for the Survey and Laser division. 

The Survey and Laser operation recently added more automated external defibrillators to its line-up, designed to facilitate the rapid treatment of cardiac arrest patients. 

Asif tells me that a significant proportion of the investment has been on energy-efficient products that are battery-powered, low emission or low fuel consumption.

He says that the company is introducing a number of personnel development initiatives and adds, "we are working on lots of exciting projects for 2022 and we look forward to launching these throughout the year.”
